Saturday Clubs
Our weekly Youth Club Program runs throughout the year, enabling us to maintain our relationships with our campers and reach new children in a safe space within their communities. But most importantly to continue to teach valuable life skills to help them navigate through many social ills. Our programs are split into two age groups, Asikhulisane (Grades 1-4) and Youth Club (Grades 5-12).
Residential Camps
Our three yearly fully-funded camps each cater to 150 vulnerable children and youths between the ages of 13-18, living within CSLS’s areas of operations. Our campers are hosted for 8 days at fully equipped and child-friendly campsites outside Johannesburg. They are provided with 3 nutritious meals per day; toiletries, psychosocial support, and care from a professional nurse. All activities are interwoven with life skills education and fun, from cleaning the cabins to the bus ride.
Healthcare Services
Twice yearly, we host Health and Wellness Drives where our beneficiaires recieved world-class health care from our partners. This includes optometry, dentistry, audiology, and general check ups.
Our team of social workers work tirelessly throughout the year providing our children with psychosocial intervention.
Our facilitators or Vochellis, are our greatest asset. We give our part-time Vochelli every opportunity to develop their skills. Along with our partners, we host an accredited work-readiness course, as well as connect our Vochellis with international job opportunities at U.S camps.
