How we work

Holistic, multi-layered Interventions

Creating real, lasting change is challenging. In the face of so many complex social issues, it’s hard to know where to start. Research has shown that the most effective way to break the cycle of poverty is by using multi-layered interventions.

At Camp Sizanani, we believe in using a variety of strategies to impact the lives of children. Our interventions include:

  • Mentorship, offering continuous support between youth and NGO staff

  • Holistic programs for children, families, and communities, focusing on career and life planning

  • Peer educator programs

  • Transitional work opportunities to help youth move into the workforce

Alignment to Sustainable Development Goals

Our approach is fully aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which provides a helpful blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet. To end the cycle of poverty and its related deprivations, all interventions must include strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth.
